Just an ideal choice for a flash visit in Edinburgh with good value for price. The breakfast selection was impressive, offering lots of options like fresh coffee and tasty cooked meals. If you’re a light sleeper, consider requesting a room away from the main road.

The Garfield Guest House felt cozy with a charming atmosphere. Cleanliness stood out. my room sparkled every day. The hospitality tray had everything I needed. Coffee was fresh and always available. Breakfast was a real highlight. The variety was impressive, from cereals to cooked options, all delicious. The view of the castle from my room was stunning, but the noise from Ferry Road was a bit disruptive at night. Other guests seemed to keep to themselves, which I appreciated. I faced some issues with heating. it was a bit inconsistent. The shared bathroom had low water pressure, making showering a bit frustrating. I would prefer more flexibility with breakfast timing. the staff were responsive, but the room could use better sound insulation.

We had a great time as a group of friends, staying close to our activities at the local attractions. The breakfast was a lovely surprise—way more than we expected! The rooms were clean and had all the essentials. We enjoyed our visits to the Playhouse and the Botanical Gardens, both easily accessible. I recommend this spot for fellow travelers!
The only downside was some noise from the road, which could be bothersome at night if you're a light sleeper.

The location was perfect for our family, with plenty of food options and a bus stop just outside. We really appreciated the breakfast pack left at our door, it was unexpectedly generous for a takeaway. the wooden chairs in our room were uncomfortable for longer periods, and the room felt a bit chilly, requiring extra blankets. it was a solid stay, especially for exploring the local attractions nearby.
